Day 30: Sprung Forth

I saw this quote today on Pinterest that said something along the lines of, "When God is holding you back it is to stop you from going where you are not ready to do." Totally get the point trying to be made, but I had to stop the first time reading it after the words "God is holding you back..." Yeah, no. God is not holding you back.

There are times in life when God has us wait and when He does not allow us to go to some specific place or have some specific thing in life yet because it is not time for you to receive it yet. But does God hold us back? Never. If anything, we hold ourselves back.

Even in the waiting, even the times when God says, "not yet, child" or "not in this way, love" is wrapped up in His goodness and love. He only asks us to wait so we receive at the right time when we are ready and prepared. He never holds us back, He always springs us forth.

We can either let impatience, fear, frustration, and heartbreak be our grave or we can surrender and watch God use it as our catapult. He never forces Himself on us, no. He offers a life so abundant and full of joy, love, peace, and goodness.

There is a time for everything (as Ecclesiastes says over and over). Yes, we will have times in the desert and times in the pit. We will have seasons that are full and seasons that feel empty. But we get to choose to either dig our graves in the circumstances and seasons of life and allow ourselves to die there, or we can accept the sweetest invitation from our Loving Heavenly Father before us, surrendering our plans, pain, fears, and failures to Him. I pray you choose the latter, friend. Jesus and I cannot wait to watch you be sprung forth.

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end." Ecclesiastes 3:11

"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Isaiah 43:19
