Day 22: Unshakable Love

When we've come to the end of ourselves and the whole world has seemed to fade away... when all our doings are undone and our trying ends in failure... even then, there is One who remains. There is One who lifts our face to His, who sets His eyes steadfastly on our shifting eyes of shame, telling us to stop the worrying and let go of the fear, to just look into His eyes and find the only thing that heals and satisfies our wandering souls: His unshakable love.

There are plenty of words I could write to tell of the greatness and vastness of the Fathers' love, but none of it, no words of any language, no abundance of adjectives could ever be adequate in communicating just how concrete and perfect His love truly is. I can't convince you of this on my own, I can't give you a 5-step process to realizing the love of God. In order to know Him, we must seek Him. As you seek Him, consistently reaching out for Him, you will find that all along He's been pursuing you with this unconditional, never-ending love. So don't take my word for it--- go seek Him for yourself and see how this unshakable love tears down every expectation you've ever had and teach you what true love is.

There's no long devotional planned for today. No unraveling of words the Lord has asked me to share other than to pour out the love of the Father, urging His children to return to Him. Take time today. Take time in His presence. Take time in seeking Him. Take time to let Him do in your heart and life what only He can do. There is no love like the Fathers', there is no love that could ever compare to the love we were made to run to.

"Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you." Isaiah 54:10
